Hearts of Oak named Delali Anku-Adiamah as New Director
Hearts of Oak has named Togbe Afede XI and Delali Anku-Adiamah as directors in the aftermath of the dissolution of the club’s board of directors.
This strategic decision aligns with the commitment of the majority shareholder to reform the board, a process slated for completion before the end of March 2024, as outlined in a statement released by the club.
The dissolution of the previous board necessitated adherence to Section 171 (1) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), mandating that a company established post the enactment of this Act must have at least two directors, with one being ordinarily resident in Ghana.
ogbe Afede XIV, Chairman of Strategic Initiatives Ltd, will resume his pivotal role as Executive Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, while Delali Anku-Adiamah, Managing Director of Strategic African Securities Ltd, joins the board as a director.
In expressing appreciation, the club acknowledges the outgoing board members for their remarkable leadership and supervisory guidance in directing the club’s affairs over the past 12 years. Notably, their tenure witnessed numerous triumphs, including significant strides in infrastructure development.
The newly reconstituted board awaits approval at the forthcoming AGM, with the club expressing confidence in the transformative impact of this change to advance its objectives of attaining pre-eminence on the African continent and beyond.
