5 exciting things to look out for in GPL Week 30

5 exciting things to look out for in GPL Week 30
1 Samartex so close to the GPL title
The Timber Giants are edging ever closer to the Ghana Premier League title. A fixture against the relegation-threatened Tano Bofoakwa in Samraboi will be a cracker considering what is at stake. Samartex is 7 points clear of Nations FC and must win to at least keep their seven-point lead. Tano Bofoakwa secured a ticket to the MTN FA Cup finals but is not okay regarding their GPL place for next season. A whole lot is at stake at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samaraboi.
2 Will Samuel Boadu fulfil his promise?
The former Accra Heart of Oak’s head coach, now the head coach of Berekum Chelsea promised to beat Asante Kotoko to appease the fans of Chelsea. Saturday is the day for him and his lads to walk the talk. Berekum Chelsea was beaten to a pulp by the troubled Accra Hearts of Oak and is ready to beat Asante Kotoko for the fans. Prosper Ogum’s Asante Kotoko have been so good in their last three games and Berekum Chelsea must be wary of their threat.

3 Dreams FC can ease the relegation fears with a win against Heart of Lions
Dreams FC have enjoyed a successful campaign per their standards. Their performance in the GPL has not been so incredible as their win over Bechem United on Wednesday pushed them away from the relegation zone even though they have 3 games in hand. A win over Heart of Lions can help them open 6 six-point gap difference between the relegation-threatened sides.
4 Hearts of Oak must capitalise on Aduana Stars’ horrible away form
It is 9 straight games without a win for the Aduana Stars at away. Week 29’s draw against Accra Lions away from home helped the Ogya Boys end 8 consecutive defeats away. This is incredibly serious for the 4th-placed Aduana Stars. Aboubakar Ouattara’s Hearts of Oak was very impressive in Berekum against Chelsea and if they can repeat the same performance against the horrible Aduana Stars, Phobia can make it back-to-back wins. Aduana Stars have won just 7 points in 14 away games in the GPL, Hearts of Oak must take advantage of their poor performance outside Dormaa Ahenkro and record another win.

5 Medeama SC can move to third with a win over RTU
The defending champions will square off against Real Tamale United in Tarkwa. A win for the Mauve and Yellow can help them move to third place depending on the other results. It has been an indifferent season for Medeama SC as their involvement in the CAF Champions League divided their attention. With the core of the team still around, Medeama has what it takes to finish second at the end of the season. Catching Samartex now is almost impossible so Medeama must play for the second slot.
