Youth at Evalue Gwira to demonstrate against government over Axim Sports Complex delay
In an interview with Domesticsportsgh.com, the group leader Jonas Kabutey said they will hold a serious demonstration at the stadium site to “symbolize their grievances towards the government”.
They are expected to call all footballers, schools, residents and the entire people of Evalue Gwira to join the train.
“We want to send a clear message to the government to complete this project it been 6 years but still not done”. “Very sad here, we don’t have any sporting facilities here, so we are demonstrating against the relevant authorities to ensure real progress is made”,Kabutey added.
The long delayed Axim Sports Complex saw works restart last September after a long pause.
However, the youth groups said they would still hold the demonstration to pressure authorities.
” Government should complete this project for us to celebrate our upcoming festival.Too much time has passed since the project started,” one professional footballer told Domesticsportgh.com
The Youth plan to submit a petition during the last demo calling on the government to prioritize the completion of the facility which is deteriorating after long pause.
We have been told that all relevant authorities have been served with the petition according to their leader, Jonas Kabutey.
